CHRISTMAS ESSENTIALS

Christmas is my favourite time of year. To kickstart December there are a few festive essentials that help me get into the holiday spirit that I cannot live without during the monthly countdown to the 25th.

-An advent calendar
One of the most exciting moments in December is opening that first door numbered ‘1’, just knowing that you can finally start listening to carols, put up the tree and buy presents.

-Christmas Organiser
First things first I have to be super organised at Christmas or I will feel totally helpless. I usually finish my Christmas present shopping by December 1st as I like to enjoy celebrating my December rather than running frantically around the chaotic shopping centres. My Kikki K Christmas organiser is a life saver for helping organise presents, food, gift wrapping you name it. Although mine isn’t available anymore, here is a similar one.

-Festive socks
I have an extensive sock collection, most of them consisting of Christmas socks ranging from candy cane patterns to Christmas puddings.

-Christmas tea
Christmas tea is a must. T2’s a ‘Festive Affair’ contains 3 amazing teas: Christmas breakfast, Cinnamon Star and White Christmas.

-Copious amounts of Christmas mugs
Mugs, mugs, mugs! If theres one thing I love the most, its mugs and socks! Every year I collect a new Christmas mug, this year its the matching Mr & Mrs Clause mugs from Potterybarn. One of my favourite mugs however is my Merry Clarkmas cup.

-Christmas candles
Boy oh boy do I love my candles. My house constantly smells of nutmeg, pines and fresh baked cookies in December. Some of my favourite candles are Yankee Candles ‘Frosty Gingerbread’ and Woodwick’s Cinnamon Chai.

-Christmas underwear
Because you’ve got to be festive down to your undies! Peter Alexander always provide the most festive delicates.

-Christmas jewellery
Bobbles, Christmas puddings, flashing lights, snowmen, stocking earrings… you name it, i’ve got them!

-Red lipstick
You always need a solid colour of red on the lips for the festive season. My favourites are the MAC Ruby Woo, or for a brighter pop of red, Lady Danger and LipSense shade Blu-Red.

-Gingerbread lipgloss
Even my lipgloss gets festive, this Peter Alexander gingerbread lipgloss tastes and smells like Christmas.

-Winter Candy Apple hand soap
This hand soap will keep your hands smelling more Christmassy than ever!

-Christmas flavour body washes
To get into the holiday season, you’ve got to start smelling like it! Scents like vanilla, cranberry and gingerbread are perfect for body washes. The Vanilla bean noel shower gel smells like your body is a freshly baked warm sugar cookie whilst my cranberry shimmer body lotion makes you sparkle AND smell like cranberries.

-Pudding Eyemask
Because facial routines don’t stop just because its Christmas! I get this cute eye mask from ASOS

-A festive game
Christmas trivia games are always fun to play with friends or family over a few glasses of mulled wine testing your Christmas knowledge.

-Michael Bublé Christmas CD
One cannot simply have Christmas without Bublé.

-Christmas toilet roll
Because even your bathroom has to be festive.
